PADI Discover Scuba® Diving

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.

Duration: 1 day
Contents: 1 theory session, 1 intro dive in the pool or confined water and 2 boat dives.

PADI Scuba Diver

If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you ̶ particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide. This course is an intermediate step for earning an Open Water Diver certification.

PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:
  • Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.
  • Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities as long as properly supervised.
  • Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses.

Duration: 2-3 days
Contents: 3 knowledge development sessions, 3 confined water dives and 2 open water dives from boat.
Requirements: Swimmer, Minimum age 10 years

PADI Open Water Diver eLearning

  • Learn diving facts, principles and safety concepts in preparation for your confined and open water dives.

PADI Enriched Air Diver (Special Offer)

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and with so many underwater cameras to choose from, it has become easier and more fun than ever to capture images of your underwater scuba adventures.

Contents: Class room theory covering; (camera equipment & settings, film material, distance estimation, subject approach, picture composition, camera care & maintainance)

PADI Adventure Diver

The PADI Adventure Diver programme is an exciting way to try new areas of diving under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. This course is designed to further your diving experience under the supervision of a professional instructor. You will do three dives (choosing from a number of possibilities including wreck diving, drift diving, deep diving, photography and more…) This certification can be upgraded to the advanced diver certification at a later date, either with Colona Divers or with another PADI dive centre.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

Exploration, Excitement, Experiences, That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. PADI Rescue Diver

Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding course they’ve ever taken. Why? During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.

As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you.
